Treatment costs are determined by the Dutch Healthcare Authority [Nederlandse Zorgautoriteit, or NZa] and are adjusted every year. From the 1st of January 2022 you will receive an invoice after each session. The costs of your treatment must be paid directly to Jolien Spoelstra.
Jolien Spoelstra works ‘contract-free’, which means she is deliberately not contracted by any insurer. In most cases though, psychological treatment will be completely or partially reimbursed by the insurer.
In the case of ‘insured treatment’, there will have to be a DSM5 diagnosis of which treatment is reimbursed. Also, you will need a referral from your general practitioner or medical specialist.
If you have a non-contracted care policy [restitutiepolis], you are likely to receive 100% of the NZa rate from your insurer. If you have a contracted care policy [naturapolis] you will likely receive 60%-80% of this rate. This means you will have to pay part of the treatment costs yourself. Your insurer can tell you what kind of insurance policy you have and what percentage will be reimbursed. In all cases, it is recommended that you consult your insurance policy.
Do also keep in mind that any possible reimbursement may be subtraced from your deductible.
- Normally, the first two sessions of treatment are intake sessions. For an intake (45/60 minute) EUR 163,37 will be charged.
- For a treatment session (45-minute) EUR 120,99 will be charged.
- For a treatment session (60-minute) EUR 143,71 will be charged.
When treatment sessions take longer, the fee will be higher. Your therapist, insurer and the Dutch Healthcare Authority [Nederlandse Zorgautoriteit, or NZa] can provide you with more information on this topic.
Currently, treatment of for instance sexual disorders, relational problems, grief, problems concerning specific life phases and stress disorders is not reimbursed by most insurers. Sometimes an additional insurance will cover treatment costs. Your insurer will be able to provide you with more information on this topic.
- For non-insured intake sessions and for non-insured treatment sessions (45-minute or 60-minute) EUR 117,33 will be charged.
The rate of non-insured treatment sessions are also determined by the Dutch Healthcare Authority [Nederlandse Zorgautoriteit, or NZa]. You will receive an invoice after each session.
If you need to cancel or reschedule an appointment, you must do so at least 24 hours in advance. You can cancel or reschedule by phone or e-mail.
- A fee of EUR 117,33 will be charged for cancellations within less than 24 hours of the appointment (also in circumstances beyond your control, e.g. sickness, weather or traffic conditions).
N.B. The fees mentioned above apply when insurers do not have a contract with the concerning practitioner. When an insurer does have a contract with a practitioner, other fees may apply.Contact now
